FRATE SOLE FOUNDATION INTERNATIONAL PRIZE FOR SACRED ARCHITECURE - VII EDITION - 2020
The Frate Sole Foundation announces the seventh edition of the International Prize for Sacred Architecture addressed to architects, who have projected a church in the last decade (from October 4th, 2010) within the field of the Christian denominations.
Objectives of the Prize
The works submitted must communicate expressive qualities of mystical values, harmony, and beauty in form, originality and creative in architectural design, giving the building a great sense of spirituality, a courageous and passionate expression in innovative research, beyond any conventionalist manner.

How to participate
Deadline for submission of material: May 8th, 2020. (Likely to be extended due to pandemic). The material should be sent to the Frate Sole Foundation using the appropriate form to complete, which can be accessed from the website of the Foundation by the established deadline. The documents will not be returned, but archived by the Foundation, which reserves the right to exhibit the projects and use the artwork and graphics for publication, without any compensation to the architects.
For organizational purposes, telephone contacts are excluded. A FAQ page will be available on the site starting February 2020. Clarifications can be requested by email: firstname.lastname@example.org by April 30th, 2020. The languages used are Italian and English.
The documentation submitted by the candidates will be evaluated by the jury, whose members will be announced on the website in March 2020. By June 30th, 2020, the Frate Sole Foundation will publish website the results of the contest on its website. All candidates will be informed and invited to attend the award ceremony in Pavia scheduled for Saturday, October 3rd, 2020.
The total amount of the International Prize for Sacred Architecture 2020 amounts to € 30,000.00.
Participation is essential for receiving the Prize. At the discretion of the Board of Directors of the Frate Sole Foundation, this amount will be awarded to one winner, or split between several winners. The grand prize winner will be entitled to be part of Winner’s section of the Honorary Committee of the Frate Sole Foundation and will take part in the future activities of the Foundation. The award ceremony will take place in Pavia on Saturday, October 3rd, 2020, according to a program to be announced. A documentary exhibition will be set up of all the works admitted on the day of the award ceremony.
