Noero Architects is a distinguished Cape Town-based architectural practice with a deep legacy in socially engaged, context-driven design. Established in Johannesburg in 1984 by Jo Noero, the firm relocated to Cape Town in 2000 and also operates a studio in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Over more than four decades the practice has completed over 200 projects, ranging from public and cultural buildings to educational, religious and residential works that respond thoughtfully to South Africa’s diverse landscapes and social history.
At the heart of the practice is founder Jo Noero, an internationally recognised architect whose work has garnered local and international acclaim, including prestigious awards such as the Lubetkin Prize from the Royal Institute of British Architects and exhibition showings at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York and numerous global architectural biennales.
