Angola's new Construction Minister pledges to continue with ongoing projects

Luanda - The new minister of Construction Artur Carlos Andrade Fortunato said Wednesday in Luanda that during his mandate he will focus on the projects underway across the country.

Artur Fortunato was speaking to the press after being sworn in by the President José Eduardo dos Santos, stressing that he will make some adjustments to the programmes accordingly with the established guidelines.

"We will make efficient use of available financial and technical resources in order to obtain the best possible results," he said.

Artur Carlos Andrade, 52, is civil engineering graduate and master in transport engineering sciences by Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Endowed with experience in the civil construction he acquired in Brazilian company Odebrecht, where he worked in Angola and Brazil, Artur Fortunato takes over from Waldemar Pires Alexander, fired Tuesday.
