DA Submits ANC Housing Corruption Affidavits to SIU
Party says ward councillor illegally evicted residents from their RDP houses and sold them to ANC cronies
The Democratic Alliance has today submitted a file of affidavits on behalf of complainants to the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) to investigate the alleged ANC housing corruption scandal in Seshego, Limpopo.
This is after the ward councillor has been illegally evicting residents from their RDP houses and sold them to his ANC cronies and friends after they failed to pay solicited bribes since 2011. The councillor further unduly influenced electricity and water meters cuts in some houses whilst intimidating residents and threatening to evict them from their property.
After several complaints to the municipality and exhausting all possible avenues to no avail under the municipal case number ref: 17/4/3/1, charges of intimidation and corruption were laid at the Seshego Police Station against the ANC councillor but no feedback was received from SAPS to date.
