Kampala's New Minister Vows To Develop The City
The minister-designate for Kampala hopes to bridge the gap between the political and executive wings of KCCA by clearly spelling out the law, writes EDWARD SSEKIKA.
Beti Kamya hopes to set up a better service-delivery machine in her first year on the job as new minister for Kampala. She also promises to work passionately to develop the city.
“Kampala is one of the most difficult constituencies in Uganda; very complex and with sophisticated issues. I promise that I will put in my very best. My community programmes of giving bursaries, the Sacco and my party office in Kabusu will also continue,” she says.
