Lagos Building Collapse - Death Toll 34 As Rescue Operation Ends

Four more bodies have been recovered from the rubbles of the five-storey building that collapsed in Lekki area of Lagos as rescue operations ended late on Wednesday.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the bodies recovered took the death toll from 30 to 34 with 13 persons rescued alive.

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) said in a statement in Lagos on Thursday that 34 died and 13 rescued alive as operation reached ground level by 7.20 p.m. on Wednesday.
