INVITATION FOR INTERESTED PERSONS TO APPLY FOR INCLUSION ON A PANEL OF POSSIBLE MEMBERS TO BE APPOINTED BY SACAP AS ASSESSORS FOR RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING (RPL) IN THE REGISTRATION PROCESS OF SACAP.

The South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP) is legally charged with regulating the architectural profession in South Africa in terms of the Architectural Profession Act, 2000 (Act No. 44 of 2000) (the Act).

The architectural profession includes architects, senior architectural technologists, architectural technologists, draughtspersons and candidates in each of those categories, all of whom are required to be registered by SACAP.

The purpose of the process of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) as sanctioned by the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP) is to assess previously acquired skills and knowledge of a candidate applying for professional registration in one of the four categories identified in the Act, and/or to register as a candidate in any of those categories and/or to write the Professional Practice Examination leading to registration.

The Council therefore now invites interested persons in all provinces to submit their applications to be considered as possible members of the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) assessment panel that will be appointed as necessary until the end of the Council’s term of office in 2018.
