BARCLAYS Zimbabwe one of the leading bank in the country is committed to making a positive impact in society for all its stakeholders as they shape their service offering and solutions around customer needs.

In order to help facilitate this, the bank is focused on simplifying banking for all of its customers and rewarding them at the same time.

Speaking at the official re-opening of the newly renovated Joshua Mqabuko Nyongolo Nkomo Street Branch, Barclays Zimbabwe Board Chairman Antony Mandiwanza, said: “We shape our service offerings and solutions around customer individual needs – our customers can bank where, when and how they want”.

To reward their customers, the bank is drawing on its partnership with the Barclays Premier League to offer loyal supporters a once in a lifetime experience, which is presented in the form of a chance to win the opportunity to watch a Barclays Premier League match live in the UK or one of 20 signed Barclays Premier League balls or jerseys.

“To qualify for the trip to the UK, new customers need to open an account with Barclays and transfer their salary into this account every month. Existing customers can stand a chance to win if their salary is already banked through Barclays or they move their salary. Further, customers who refer a friend to open a salary account with Barclays stand a chance of winning signed Barclays Premier League merchandise,” said George Guvamatanga, Managing Director at Barclays Bank of Zimbabwe.

Guvamatanga added on that “Barclays believes in keeping up with global trends and developing products that surpass our customers’ requirements. Our newly renovated JoshuaMNNkomo Street Branch is designed to make our customers’ lives much easier through self-help kiosks.”

Barclays wants to continue to reward and delight its customers. Currently, customers have access to a number of innovative solutions – such as CashSend – which allows customers to send money via an ATM to a recipient regardless of whether that person has a bank account or not.
