New infrastructures show country's development
Luanda - The Luanda deputy governor for technical affairs and infrastructure, Ludmila Pires de Carvalho, said that the construction of social infrastructure shows the renaissance of a strong Angola turned to development.
The deputy minister was speaking at the closing of the 2nd International Congress of Engineering held from August 4-5 in Luanda.
The official added that the country is developing, which requires the cooperation of everyone, particularly the engineers, in the implementation of the programmes that promote the wellbeing.
Ludmila de Carvalho stated that the role of the engineers must be seen as a lever for sustainable development of the cities, their actions as a challenge and the services followed by a strict and efficient monitoring for good quality.
According to her, the event paves the way for sustainable promotion, stimulation, transformation, strengthening and positive holding the engineers responsible for the growth of Angola.
Held with the theme "Engineering and Angola’s dynamic development”, the event was sponsored by the Angola Engineers Order, and was attended by local specialists and colleagues from Brazil, Portugal and Cabo Verde.
