World Architecture Day 2015: Architecture, Building, Climate
The theme of this year’s World Architecture Day on 5 October is “Architecture, Building, Climate”, announced the International Union of Architects (UIA).
“As the world’s national governments approach COP 21, the international climate treaty negotiations taking place later this year, the UIA will join with national and regional architecture organisations to highlight the essential role of architecture, design and town planning in reducing associated greenhouse gas emissions.
UIA members, working bodies and partners will mobilize on 5 October to promote actions and solutions that apply the enormous power of architecture and urban design in coping with global climate change, one of the greatest challenges of our time.”
