Cemeteries are full, Nakuru to cremate
Cemeteries are filling up in Nakuru county and there will be no burial space by the end of the year.
Residents should cremate the bodies of their relatives, public health officer Samuel King’ori said.
Yesterday, he said Nakuru North Cemetery and Naivasha Cemetery are full while the other cemeteries in the county are expected to be full by the end of the year.
Residents, however, said Nakuru includes people from different ethnic groups and different customs and it would be difficult to convince them to cremate.
