APC initiates solar power project in Moshi dstrict

The African Planting Company (APC) that invests in four plantations in Hai and Moshi districts intends to initiate a huge solar power project.

The APK General Manager, Mr Donald Temba said here recently that the investment is meant to tackle power crisis and lower power tariffs for the company, five neighbouring villages and institutions.

Mr Temba said the company that has its headquarters in Colombia said they have incurred too much costs in electricity from the National Grid and generators for production of coffee, other plants and in different activities.
