Poor Sanitation Kills Thousands of Minors in Ghana

ACCRA, (CAJ News) – MORE than 7 500 Ghanaian children die as a result of unsafe drinking water and poor sanitation every year, it has emerged.
The toll is the highest in the continent and seventh-worst in the world.
According to a joint report by both the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), Ghana, whose annual child death rate from diarrhoea as a result of unsafe drinking water has surpassed 7 500 annually, must address the problem.
