US$1.99B Needed For Liberia's Infrastructure Development
Liberia's Minister of Public Works William Gyude Moore has put the cost for infrastructure development including roads and bridges at One Billion, Nine Hundred and Ninety-Nine Million United States dollars.
The minister made the disclosure when he appeared at the House of Representatives Thursday.
Minister Moore was invited by plenary to provide information with regards to the awarding of contracts for roads construction in the country. He told plenary that since 2006, more than US$700 million has been spent on the development of roads in the country.
Minister Moore admitted that most of the roads constructed were substandard, while some were based on the low capital provided for construction.
