WELDING ENGINEER – Power stations in South Africa
Reporting to the Snr C Mngr on site you would be responsible for working on the coal fired super critical boilers.
Your responsibilities would include:
All procedures and document approvals, control man hours for erection, schedules, safety, supervise a team and maintain tight mngt of scope of work deviations. You must have had experience in running a computer based weld record system to ensure mngt reports, repair rates, compressive weld reports and general al records to ensure databooks are maintained.
Your proven track record of at least 15 years exp in welding pressure vessels as well as have a good understanding of QIP’s and quality procedures. You need a recognised trade in the field of welding, and have at least a level 1 & 2 supervisor/inspection certificate. A team player you need to be proactive with sound judgement, logical and be accurate. Essential to have is a Welding Certificate from a reputable institute. (IWE).
