Aslam Bulbulia contributes a photo essay on his 30 Mosques, 30 days project.

“The sacred month of Ramadhan is celebrated all over the world. The month of fasting and increased prayer is observed by Muslims all over the world to increase their nearness to Allah. I spent last year’s Ramadhan visiting a different mosque each night in order to better understand my Islam, my city and how they influence one another.” –Aslam Bulbulia

Aslam Bulbulia was born and raised in Mayfair, he recently returned from a year of travel around the Middle East and North America. He is currently finishing his masters in Development Planning at Wits, has an interest in migrants, the role of faith in the city and religion in integrating communities.
