South Africa budgets R34m to reconstruct mud schools in KwaZulu-Natal -

KwaZulu-Natal - The Department of Public Works has set aside R34 million for the reconstruction of mud schools in KwaZulu-Natal.

One of the schools to benefit from the reconstruction is the St Faiths Primary School under the Ugu District Municipality, which was built with mud in 2003 by parents of local children.

Minister of Public Works Thoko Didiza visited the school on Thursday as part of her Ministerial Imbizo to assess the conditions that students face daily when learning.
