The government requires Sh21 billion to build new classrooms countrywide, Deputy Prime Minister Musalia Mudavadi has said. The money will be used to build at least 10,000 new classrooms in an expansion programme that should be sustained every year. "We need to have a clear plan of how we can come up with the new classrooms so that we get more children into schools," said Mudavadi. He said free primary education has provided an excellent foundation to help improve education standards in the country.
