Kenya: Fear Over Malaba Bridge Collapse
Kenyan and Ugandan authorities are in a dilemma as the Malaba Bridge linking the two countries is collapsing. A big crack and potholes has thrown engineers in Kenya and Uganda into panic with fears that it might be closed for motorists. Uganda National Roads Authority will visit the site today to unveil rescue plans and save the great lakes region from being cut off. Fears of imminent collapse of the bridge have resulted in trucks pile up now stretching over 6kms as they struggle to cross it.
