Kenya: Nation Lacks Enough Engineers - Minister

[The Star]

Shortage of engineers is the biggest obstacle to Kenya's industrialisation, an assistant minister said yesterday. Industrialisation assistant minister Nderitu Mureithi said the country has only 10,000 engineers, adding that the number is not enough to make Kenya industrialise at the required speed. "The shortage of engineers has slowed the industrialisation process and the nation risks missing the vision 2030 targets," he said.
