Thomas has been a registered architect in the UK since 2004 and currently works as a project architect at Zaha Hadid Architects in London.

Throughout his six-year collaboration with ZHA, he has been responsible for a variety of built projects including the Nordpark Cable Car Stations in Innsbruck, Austria and the Chanel Mobile Art Pavilion in Hong Kong, China.

On an Interior Design scale he has executed the Hotel Puerta America in Madrid, Spain and the Z.Island Kitchen Environment for DuPont Corian in Milan, Italy.

Exhibition Designs for ZHA include the "Ice-Storm" Installation in the MAK in Vienna, Austria; the "Big Wave" for the Steirische Herbst in Graz, Austria; the "Alessi Towers" in Venice, Italy and the Zaha Hadid Retrospective "30 Years in Architecture" Exhibition in the Guggenheim Museum in New York, USA.

His collaboration on Industrial Design Objects involve the "Vortex" Chandelier for Zumtobel, Austria; the "Iceberg" Bench for Sawaya&Moroni in Milan, Italy; the "Tee & Coffee Piazza" Set for Alessi in Crusinallo, Italy and the "Crevasse" Twin Vases for Alessi.

Previous employments are a 1998 - 2000 collaboration with Pichler & Traupmann Architekten ZT GmbH ( and assistant curatorial roles for exhibition designs (e.g.: "What is living" 2000) in the Vienna Kuenstlerhaus at the Karlsplatz in Vienna, Austria. Participations in the 2002 Exhibitions "Mega - Manifestos of Arrogance" comprise a large scale architectural installation as well as Architectural Models and Visualizations for the "Essence 2002" Work Show at the Vienna Kuenstlerhaus.

Thomas graduated with distinction from the University of Applied Arts in Vienna in 2002. He is a masterclass student of Zaha Hadid's studio at the "Angewandte".

Teaching jobs cover several semesters of workshops/ tutoring at the Technical University in Innsbruck, Austria at the "Institute for Experimental Architecture" which is lead by Prof.Kjetil Thorsen and Prof. Patrik Schumacher as well as at the University of Applied Arts at the Studio Zaha Hadid.

His presentations in South Africa will investigate Design Modelling and Visualization in Glass Architecture.
