In 2008 Kirstin Küsel created Home Vision, a company offering an accessible, affordable and interactive, architectural service for all SA home owners, regardless of size of projects, complexity or budget.

As a research architect at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) in South Africa, she strongly supported a systems engineering approach to architecture as a means to achieve a sustainable and “green” building. Her studies into customer requirement analysis techniques eventually led her to viewing a home as a consumer product.
