KEYNOTE SPEAKER : BOB SIMPSON - Writer and lecturer on Audio Visual and Lighting Control topics, his books include "Effective Audio Visual", "Videowalls - The Book of the Big Electronic Image" and "Lighting Control - Technology and Applications". He has worked on many corporate, control room, EXPO, museum, theme park and permanent exhibition audio visual projects.

Over the last few months the South African Institute of Architects have been working with the Southern African Communications Industries Association (SACIA) to promote the adoption of professional standards in the local audiovisual industry.

The initiative includes an ongoing programme of training and skills development - as well as an industry outreach programme that examines how South African architects can benefit from a closer working relationship with AV designers, consultants and integrators.

As part of this programme, SACIA are presenting a dedicated workshop titled:

Audiovisual Design Professionals:
Partnering with Architects for More Successful Projects

This workshop is registered as a category 1 training programme and is assesed to provide 0,3 credits as part of the Institute's CPD programme.
The InfoComm lecture being delivered by Bob Simpson is also registered with the American Institute of Architects and the Royal Institute of British Architects as part of their CPD programme.
