Stalled Work On Sh1 Billion Limuru Road Resumes

THE construction of a Sh1 billion Limuru-Gikambura-Kikuyu tarmac road which has stalled over the the past four years commenced yesterday. The road construction was initially allocated Sh400 million for work starting from Gikabura in Kikuyu to join Limuru road. The road is expected to boost farming in the semi-arid area of Ndeiya in Limuru and Karai divisions in Kikuyu. The road construction is now being undertaken by a different company Victory Construction. The first company that was awarded the tender in 2009 disappeared soon after winning the tender.
