Rental Yields Dented As Hard Times Hit Consumers

Rents in the middle and upmarket residential property remained unmoved in the second quarter of 2011, at almost identical levels to the previous quarter. The Hass Property Index shows rental incomes were static against stabilising house prices in the three months from April to June. The flattened rental prices came as consumers grappled with rising inflation across food, fuel, consumer goods and other needs such as school fees, according to HassConsult.
