A changing economic environment, as well as ever-evolving customer shopping habits and behaviour, have necessitated that Olympia reviews how they currently do business in order to remain relevant in the marketplace. It is for this reason that their 20th anniversary also marks their entry into a new customer target segment, i.e. the end-user or domestic customer.

In line with their 20th anniversary, as well as their expansion into a new market, the entire paint range is also sporting a brand-new look.
A new, more modern, font is bolder to accentuate and emphasise product names.
The addition of hexagon patterning layered across all the product categories was used to symbolise the formulations and chemical structures; lines and shapes have the feel of a mathematical diagram, much like DNA formulations in paint chemistry, signifying the absolute care and detail which Olympia applies to producing high-quality paint.
Shades of colour which have been applied within the hexagons are pantone colours selected from the Olympia product range, and which represents their extensive and comprehensive product catalogue. The use of pastel colours creates an ethereal and cloud-like ambience, while the ‘swish’ at the bottom of the can symbolises smooth and effortless product application.
The ‘look’ of the 20th anniversary stamp is borrowed from older designs, and typifies the company’s history, as well as its status as a trusted and respected paint brand.
While the exterior look has changed, ‘hero’ products such as satin sheen acrylics (Akrosheen), pure acrylic matt coatings (Akrocote), pure acrylic waterproof coatings (Akrodek), decorative plasters (Akroplast), wall coatings (Nucover), pure acrylic roof coatings (Roofbrite), exterior varnishes (Woodglow), and timber preservatives (Woodseal) will continue to be a core feature of the product offering for both the trade and domestic customer segments.
