Dear Registered Persons

You are cordially invited to nominate one or more registered persons for consideration and possible appointment as member(s) to the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP) in terms of section 3 (1) (a)  (i) (ii) of the Architectural Profession Act, 2000 (Act, No. 44 of 2000) (“the Act”).

At least four of the registered persons nominated shall actively practice in the architectural profession, and they must be nominated by voluntary associations and any registered person. All nominations must represent all categories of registered persons in the architectural profession, except for candidate’s category, which is expressly excluded in terms of section 3 (1) (a) of the Act.

When nominating, consideration should be given to representivity of the nominee in respect of race, gender, disability and geographical location.

Your proven skills in the construction world (Building, civil, engineering) - developing the time, finance, safety plans for effective, safe and profitable projects to be delivered is a must. Degree or related building civil, engineering qualification with at least 15 years planning experience is essential We would expect you to have worked on MS Project, Primavera 6 or CCS.
Your responsibilities would include :
Create, maintain, review and administer construction schedules and plans
Liaising with managers and engineers to discuss the progress of the project and address any issues that arise
Liaise with external contractors and suppliers to organize the phases of the construction development
Keep the client team up to date on progress to present to the client
Present information for internal meetings on the project
Problem solving
Produce tender plans to support bids

Your ability to work within a multi cultural team is essential. We are looking for a problem solver who is detail orientated with strong organizational skills and an ability to work well under pressure keep his finger on the pulse.
