South Africa will stage the International Union of Architects (UIA) World Congress in 2014. This announcement was made during the XXIII UIA Congress and General Assembly at the Lingotto Conference Centre in Turin, Italy.
Durban will be the first African city to host the Congress since Egypt more than 30 years ago. This is the third time that the event will be hosted in Africa; the first in sub-Saharan Africa and the second time in the Southern Hemisphere.
