Fifteen construction workers were injured, some seriously, and two others killed when a near complete office block collapsed on Van Staden Road, Roodepoort.
Half the building collapsed on Thursday, 16 October, at about 8:30am. The remaining half of the building has been declared unsafe. Twenty three other construction workers escaped unhurt.
Various government departments are investigating. It is not known at this stage which Built Environment consultants are responsible for the collapsed building.
