IN the March 2008 harmonised elections, Morgan Tsvangirai defeated Robert Mugabe and Simba Makoni in the first round of the presidential election before the bloody and controversial run-off in June. The two MDC formations mustered marginally more seats than Zanu PF in the parliamentary poll.
