Paltry Salaries Threaten Anti-Corruption War - Commission

THE independence and effectiveness of the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission is under threat as officials earning US$250 per month are tasked to investigate cases involving millions of dollars, an official said on Monday. Commission chairperson Mr Denford Chirindo said there was need to introduce an anti-corruption risk allowance for his officers to "insulate" them from the temptation.
