[Sokwanele]Since Operation Murambatsvina (Operation Drive Out Rubbish) on 18 May 2005 it has been difficult for vendors to sell plants at Bulawayo's City Hall. Despite Government propaganda which claimed Operation Murambatsvina was a hygiene crusade," it was in reality meant to scourge the streets of people who were supporters of the Movement for Democratic Change led by Morgan Tsvangirai.
