The court case of Teddy Chipere, a senior MDC official in Makoni Central district, Manicaland, who is facing charges of undermining the authority of the President, was yesterday referred to the Supreme Court after a successful application at the Mutare Magistrate's Courts.

Zimbabwe Futsal team will on Saturday embark on a history making mission when they lock horns with South Africa in the second round of the Futsal World Cup qualifier at the Wembley Sports Complex in Johannesburg. Zimbabwe qualified for the first round after beating Sudan 5-2 in a one-legged preliminary round qualifier early this month.

Dynamos' continental glory ambitions suffered a major set back when the Harare giants were trounced by Esperance in a CAF Champions League first leg second round in Tunisia yesterday. While DeMbare were outplayed by a well schooled home side, the task was made more difficult with some questionable officiating by referee Keita Yakhouba from Guinea.

Cottco Schools Rugby Festival Explodes

The 14th edition of the Cottco Schools Rugby Festival will explode at Prince Edward School tomorrow morning with 174 schools set to take part in the event regarded as the biggest in the southern African region. The event will run from tomorrow to May 5, in which fans would have to pay US$1 to watch the matches.

Quelaton Pick First Set of Points

A 27th minute strike by Mhleli Sibanda was all that visiting Quelaton needed to earn their first set of three points when they got the better of Harare City at Gwanzura Stadium yesterday. Sibanda profited from poor clearance by City's Trymore Nyamadzawo as he collected the ball just outside the box and mercilessly smashed the ball beyond Maxwell Nyamupanedengu in goals for City.

RTG Workers Go for Four Months Without Salaries

OVER 100 workers employed by the Rainbow Tourism Group (RTG) at its Matetsi Water and Chikumi lodges in the resort town of Victoria Falls, say they have gone for four months without being paid their salaries as the group is currently in the process of disposing of its facilities.
