Cosatu Defends 'Principled Position' At Secrecy Bill Hearings

Yet again out of synch with its alliance partners, Cosatu was forced to clarify its position on Thursday at the hearings into the Protection Of State Information Bill. It said historical values tied to the Freedom Charter informed its view and told its partners that, in its current form, the bill would reverse gains made by the democratic movement.
