There was a generation of the Nigerian national team, the Super Eagles, regarded as golden. This was not only as a result of their exploits both on the African continent and the world stage, but also due to the unparalleled dedication and passion they showed when representing the country. One of the key members of that generation was Rashidi Yekini, who kicked the bucket on Friday, May 4, 2012, at his country home Ira, Offa, Kwara State, after a protracted illness.
