Painful Reminder for Survivors of Oct. 1st Bombs

ASP Anthony Etim (now retired), was posted to Eagle Square for police duty exactly one year ago during the anniversary celebration of Nigeria's 50th independence when bombs planted at the venue of the event by militant groups erupted, injuring him. Sadly for him and several others affected by the bomb blast, Independence Day has come to symbolize the anniversary of the bomb blast because the scars left behind by the violence of that day.
