A New NHRC

Mr Chidi Odinkalu's appointment as the new executive secretary of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) by President Goodluck Jonathan is awaiting Senate ratification. Before the appointment, the president had, in March, signed into law a bill amending the 1995 Act that set up the commission.
