NDIC - Insured Deposits Now N1.65 Trillion

Twenty four insured financial institutions in Nigeria with total assets of N18.4 trillion and total deposits of N12.15 trillion have total insured deposits of N1.65 trillion as at now, Managing Director of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation Malam Umaru Ibrahim said in Lagos at the weekend. He said of the banks' 44.2 million depositors, 42.8 million are fully covered by the insurance.
