The Nigeria Premier League, the biggest domestic league in the country, which should be at par with international football standard, has continued to be in the grip of match violence and hooliganism. This monstrous and uncivilised act by the fans and even some players has gone a long way in retarding the development of not just the league but other sporting activities in the country.
