Hundreds Killed in Violence in Jos -
The Plateau State Government has ordered security operatives comprising men of the Nigerian Army, Air Force, and Mobile Police to 'shoot on sight' anybody fomenting crisis or defying the curfew order imposed on the state capital, Jos. The order was the government's latest response to end the riot in Jos, which death toll, as at yesterday evening, had risen to 350. [

Lagos Needs Waste Baskets On Roads -
The current effort by the Lagos State government at beautifying the state may continue to suffer. It is not that the right work is not being done at the right place, but there is a fundamental flaw in the area of refuse management. Though there are PSP refuse trucks everywhere parking the tons of refuse generated in the state daily, the way refuse litters parts of the roads is still nothing to write home about. [
