Siasia Lands Lucrative Job in India, to Coach Okocha

Vanguard (Lagos)-FORMER Super Eagles midfield maestro, Austin Jay Jay Okocha has been signed by Indian club Durgapur. Also on board is Samson Siasia who will be the coach of the team. Okocha will earn 550, 000 dollars (about N88.8m), while Siasia will take home 210,000 dollars (N33.9m).

Truck Crushes Pregnant Woman, Others to Death

Vanguard (Lagos)-A MULTIPLE ghastly motor accident involving a truck and six vehicles occurred at Coker bus-stop, along Oshodi/Apapa Expressway, Sunday, claiming three lives including that of a pregnant woman. A commercial motorcyclist popularly called Okada was trapped under the truck for hours while several people were injured.

Vanguard (Lagos)-AFTER 159 months of trial, Major Hamza Al-Mustapha, the former Chief Security Officer to the late Head of State General Sani Abacha and Lateef Shofolahan were yesterday sentenced to death by hanging by a Lagos High Court sitting at Igbosere over the murder of Kudirat Abiola, wife of the acclaimed winner of the June 12, 1993 Presidential election, Chief Moshood Abiola.
