Bill Passed to Amend Law On Municipalities -
The Mozambican parliament, the Assembly of the Republic, on Wednesday passed the first reading of a government bill abolishing the requirement, contained in the law on municipalities, that fifty per cent of the members of municipal councils must be drawn from members of the elected municipal assemblies.
