Funding for Nacala Road Links Agreed -
The African Development Bank (ADB), the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and the EXIM Bank of South Korea have agreed to finance construction and rehabilitation of road links from the northern Mozambican port of Nacala, across Malawi and into Zambia. [

Bill Passed to Amend Law On Municipalities -
The Mozambican parliament, the Assembly of the Republic, on Wednesday passed the first reading of a government bill abolishing the requirement, contained in the law on municipalities, that fifty per cent of the members of municipal councils must be drawn from members of the elected municipal assemblies. [
