Plan for December Elections Just an Excuse to Extend Leaders' Office Term

In proposing amendments to the Constitution to provide for the holding of the next General Election in December, the Cabinet concedes that on correct interpretation, the Constitution, unless amended, requires the voting to be held on the second Tuesday of August next year.
