Man to Hang for Stealing Mobile Phone

A 68-year-old man who violently robbed his neighbour of his mobile phone and sold it for Sh400 has been sentenced to death by a Naivasha court. Kamau Kihunyu, a father of twelve, was found guilty by Naivasha senior resident magistrate Esther Boke. Kamau had been charged that on the September 29 2010 in Mukangu village, Nyandarua, he committed the offence. According to the charge sheet, while armed with dangerous weapons, he robbed Joseph Maina off his mobile phone and personal effects worth Sh7,280.
