A day in the Life

A few months ago the word 'Bonoko' hit the streets. It came from a 20 year old street urchin recounting the last moments of his friend's life after he was shot by the police. The urchin, James Maina Kimani, used the word Bonoko to refer to the fake gun that the police used to implicate his dead friend. Despite the tragedy the use of this word got him noticed by Ghetto Radio where he is now training as a radio presenter.
