Schoolheads have sent a strong message to the government over the frequent delays in disbursement of the Free Secondary Education funds. A senior government official was booed by the thousands of schoolheads gathered at a headteachers conference in Mombasa after he said the 60 per cent balance of school funds will be sent to the schools between July and August.
