Advisory Committee for Mara Region Developments

A technical advisory Committee has been formed by the National Environmental Management Authority to advise on the environmental impact of proposed projects in the Maasai Mara ecosystem. The committee includes representatives from the ministry of tourism, the Narok and Transmara county councils, the Kenya wildlife Serve and other stakeholders. NEMA chair man Francis Ole Kaparo says the committee will look through over 100 proposals for various developments and if they do prove to pose no harm to the eco-system, authorize them.
