Activists Arrested

At least 30 protesters will most likely spend the night in police custody after they tried to march to state house. The group was hoping to petition president Kibaki to sack Education Minister Sam Ongeri over the misappropriation of 4.2 billion shillings meant for the free primary education. The activists led by Okiya Omtata are currently being held at the Langata police station.
