24 Pirates Handed to Govt By Danish Navy

Twenty-four suspected pirates handed over to Kenya by Danish navy officers will be arraigned in court this morning. Coast PPO Aggrey Adoli says the suspects were captured by a Danish Warship after they hijacked 16 Iranian nationals who were later rescued after a gun battle between the pirates and Danish commandos along the coast of Somalia. During the confrontation 4 pirates were killed and buried at the sea and 10 others seriously wounded.
